Full description
At 9 am your guide will pick you up by your hotel in Barcelona. The ride to the Montserrat Abbey will take aproximately one hour. This monastery is located in a holy place, the Montserrat Mountain range. The mountain is covered with all kind of myths and some real stories. Which your guide will tell you on the way to the Mountain.
At arrival, your guide will take you first to a little hike. Where you will get to see some of the best views in Montserrat. The hike will finish at the Monastery, where we will see the church, the black Madonna and the boys choir. Once all this is done we will head to our second stop of the day. A little winery located in the heart of Penedes.
Expect to arrive at the winery at around 2 pm. That is why we recommend to eat something before.
The winery is a small family business, specialized in long aging cavas. Where you will have a lunch of different local product such as home made pathes, Catalan sausage and cheese (vegetarian option available), paired with a long aging cava, or if you prefer, some water or grape juice.
Once the lunch is finished, we will go back to Barcelona. Where we will arrive at around 5 pm.

It was just not what we saw, but the time and attention that Ivan gave to every site that we visited. He was charming, engaged, full of historic details and with a great sense of humor. The monastery was stunning and spiritually moving. The Cava wine tasting was super interesting on a beautiful vinyard and lovely taste all the wines.
